Jewelle Thompson served her church, First United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa, California, as a Stephen Minister for over 10 years. She faithfully cared for many church members and made countless caring visits over the years. After Jewelle went home to the Lord in December 2008, her congregation’s Stephen Leaders and Stephen Ministers decided to honor Jewelle’s memory by sending a memorial gift to Stephen Ministries St. Louis. Their gift will help ensure that more congregations are empowered to equip caring hearts like Jewelle’s.
Have you been blessed by serving as a Stephen Minister or Stephen Leader?
Have you experienced Christ’s love through a Stephen Minister?
Has your life—or that of a family member—been touched through any of our other ministries or resources?
You can pass that blessing on to others by helping to ensure that future generations will be able to experience the life-changing power of our ministries. Your generous gifts—personal donations or legacy gifts—will help us carry out our mission now and into the future.
Stephen Ministries has been blessed to be the recipient of several gifts that were the result of estate planning with caring ministry in mind. These gifts provide financial stability for Stephen Ministries, which in turn enables us to—
strengthen and expand our efforts to support Stephen Ministry in over 13,000 congregations worldwide; and
develop new ministry resources for individuals and congregations.
The benefits for donors include tax savings (sometimes even prior to death) and the satisfaction of knowing that their assets are facilitating meaningful Christian ministry. Learn more about one person’s legacy of care through planned giving.
If you wish to make a memorial or personal donation or if you are currently engaged in estate planning, we welcome the opportunity to talk with you. Give us a call at (314) 428-2600. All inquiries are confidential and without obligation.
