

Concordia University Chicago is offering three graduate semester hours of credit for successful completion of the WKSM 6200 Breakthrough Leadership course requirements and full participation in the Breakthrough Leadership Conference offered by Stephen Ministries on October 12-17, 2008.
The Breakthrough Leadership course will enable students to--
The course consists of five days of on-site training in St. Louis, Missouri, including lectures and discussion led by Stephen Ministries and guest faculty, breakout sessions, skill practice, and audio-visual presentations. The course also includes pre-conference reading reports and a post-conference writing project.
This course is limited to participants who hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and who attend the entire Breakthrough Leadership Conference on October 12-17, 2008.

Those registered for graduate course credit are required to read selected books from the list below and complete a reading report for each book they read. Download the format for reading reports.
All readings and reports should be completed before attending the Breakthrough Leadership Conference whenever possible.

All of these books are available from Stephen Ministries or your local bookstore.
The post-conference writing assignments require each graduate student to reflect on his or her experiences as a leader, examine and challenge a current area of leadership, and apply the principles and practices learned at the Breakthrough Leadership Conference. Topics must be approved ahead of time by Stephen Ministries' faculty.
Writing projects must be postmarked no later than January 15, 2009. After this date, students who need additional time must apply to Stephen Ministries' faculty for a three-month extension (postmarked no later than April 15, 2009) and submit a late paper fee of $100.
Papers are not returned to students. Students must make a copy of the project for their own files before sending it in.
