Having served as a Stephen Minister, I can tell you firsthand that people grow through Stephen Ministry.

  • The person receiving care grows as he or she experiences God's love in a tangible way during a time of great need.
  • The Stephen Minister grows as he or she encounters God at work through the caring relationship, bringing hope and healing into the care receiver's life.

I recently interviewed Steve Feith, a retired senior naval officer and a Stephen Minister. In "Real Men, Real Ministry, Real Difference," Steve talks about the spiritual growth and transformation that happens through Stephen Ministry—not only for the person receiving care but also for the Stephen Minister providing that care.

Steve's interview can be a powerful tool for helping people in your congregation catch a vision for Stephen Ministry. You can download the article and print copies to share with others in your congregation. You can also request printed copies of the article by calling us at (314) 428-2600.

We'd welcome the opportunity to help your congregation begin Stephen Ministry so that many more people—caregivers and care receivers alike—can experience this life-transforming growth.

If you have any questions or would like to learn how to get Stephen Ministry started in your congregation, give us a call.

Cordially in Christ,
Joel Bretscher
Director of Communications

P.S.
