Discovering God's Vision for Your Life is a comprehensive set of integrated resources that congregations can use to help individuals discover their spiritual gifts and become involved in gifts-related ministries. The centerpiece of these resources is an eight-hour course that serves three purposes: 1) discovering your own spiritual gifts using the Haugk Spiritual Gifts Inventory, 2) education about spiritual gifts, calling, and discipleship, and 3) motivation for ministry.
Preparing the Congregation: The Planning and Preparation Manual helps leaders build a solid foundation for teaching the course and for developing an overall spiritual gifts ministry.
Leading the Course: The Leader's Guide contains everything necessary for teaching the course effectively. Those taking the course use the Participant Manual and the Haugk Spiritual Gifts Inventory, which was created over a six-year time period entailing both extensive biblical research and standard principles of psychological test construction.
Course Follow-Up: The Haugk Spiritual Gifts Inventory Manual includes research statistically linking the 20 gifts measured by the HSGI to 120 typical ministry activities in congregations. The Ministry Mobilization Manual answers the question, "What do we do when the spiritual gifts course is over?" It includes instructions on how to conduct a Ministry Celebration, how to use the Ministry Activities Questionnaire, and a wealth of practical suggestions for expanding a congregation's ministry based on spiritual gifts.
