The ChristCare Series provides all the training resources you need to have a thriving small group ministry.
You'll train ChristCare Group Leaders in a special ChristCare Group. In their ChristCare Group, trainees experience the deep sharing, trust, care, and growth ChristCare Groups nurture. They deepen relationships with God and one another through community prayer and worship. They learn the value of Biblical Equipping and missional service by participating in and leading those activities. And as group members, they have the opportunity to learn by observing the excellent leadership skills of the Equipper(s) who lead them. Group-based training produces excellent, well-equipped group leaders with a strong vision and passion for ChristCare Groups.
Trainees also learn essential elements of leading a group through a variety of excellent traditional training methods such as presentations, discussions, a video, and interactive exercises, which are woven into the training sessions with the group activities.
Group-based training takes equipping group leaders to a new level: By learning in a group, trainees gain a vision for the transformation ChristCare Groups can bring to your congregation.
Equippers use the following resources to establish ChristCare Group Ministry in the congregation--and to keep it going smoothly for years.

Beginnings is an eight-session curriculum that helps ChristCare Groups get off to a great start. Using Beginnings, ChristCare Group Leaders lead their group members in developing a group covenant, help them build community and trust, and teach them the basic skills to help them relate appropriately to one another in a small group. Group members also become familiar with the four main activities of ChristCare Groups (community building and care, Biblical Equipping, prayer and worship, and missional service). ChristCare Group Leader trainees read both the Beginnings Leader Guide and Group Member Guide in preparation for their first session of training.

Biblical Equipping describes a fresh approach to small group Bible study, which ChristCare Groups use to explore the meaning of God’s Word and connect it to their daily lives. Biblical Equipping involves group members in a daily encounter with God's Word, both during group meetings and between meetings. ChristCare Group Leaders read this book in preparation for the training sessions on "How to Use the Bible as an Equipping Tool."

Nuts & Bolts details 34 practical decisions that ChristCare Group Leaders need to lead their groups through--such as when and where to meet, what to do during meetings, how to provide for childcare, and how to handle tardiness. Nuts & Bolts, an excellent resource for anyone leading a small group, demonstrates the thoroughness, practicality, and attention to detail that characterize the ChristCare Series.
Can Christians be assertive? This excellent work uses Jesus himself as the model for Christian assertiveness, demonstrating that Christians can and should be assertive in relating to others. This book, used in the continuing education sessions on assertiveness, teaches ChristCare Group Leaders a wide range of insights and skills to help them relate gently and firmly in their small group and in daily life.
Used with the continuing education module "Evangelism in and through ChristCare Groups," this book weaves together solid biblical insights, practical caring skills, and an engaging story about a reluctant evangelist to teach compassionate faith-sharing skills. Me, an Evangelist? shows how all Christians can joyfully, comfortably, and naturally live and share Jesus' love with others. This book is also an essential text in the course Caring Evangelism: How to Live and Share Christ's Love.
SEA stands for Support, Encouragement, and Accountability. In SEA Groups, ChristCare Group Leaders support one another by sharing ideas and helping one another meet challenges in leading their groups, encourage one another to pursue high standards for group life and ministry, and provide caring accountability for ministry so that ChristCare Group Leaders--as well as those they lead--grow as Jesus' disciples. Equippers use this video in the session "How to Participate Effectively in a SEA Group."
